Seeking businesses to cooperate with stormwater runoff control green infrastructure projects

Tokyo is promoting “Tokyo GreenBiz” an initiative to “Protect,” “Nurture,” and “Utilize” Tokyo’s greenery, aiming to become a sustainable city in harmony with nature.
Since fiscal year 2024, the Urban Development Bureau has been promoting the implementation of green infrastructure (hereinafter referred to as “GI”) that helps reduce stormwater runoff as an initiative to make use of greenery. We are now looking for business partners who will set up model facilities in private facilities, cooperate in researching the effectiveness of the GI and provide opportunities for businesses and Tokyo residents to recognize the GI.
1.Eligibility
Businesses that are able to set up new GI model facilities on the premises of private facilities in multiple wards, cities, towns, and villages

2.Cost Sharing
The following costs will be covered by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
- Actual costs for design, construction, materials, maintenance, etc., related to the construction of GI model facilities
- Maximum of 1.5 million yen per location
