Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s response to the disaster caused by Typhoons No. 22 and 23 in 2025
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government began accepting donations on October 17, 2025, to provide support to victims of Typhoons No. 22 and 23 in 2025, and closed the collection on January 31 of this year.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the many organizations and individuals who have provided their support.
We would like to inform you that the donations we received will be distributed to the affected areas of Hachijo Town and Aogashima Village as follows.
1 Name of the relief fund
Tokyo Metropolitan Government Relief Fund for Typhoons No. 22 and 23 of 2025
2 Total amount of donations
141,020,951 yen
*This includes donations received by the Japanese Red Cross Society and the Tokyo Community Chest Association, which are cooperating organizations in the fundraising effort.
3 Recipients and amounts of the allocation
- Hachijo Town: 137,989,001 yen
- Aogashima Village: 3,031,950 yen
*The allocation was based on past distributions by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government for typhoons such as Typhoon No. 15 and No. 19 of 2019, and was made according to the extent of damage to the affected municipalities.
4 Shipping time
The funds will be transferred to the designated bank accounts of each local government between the end of March and the beginning of April 2026.
