The year 2023 will mark the 100th anniversary of the Great Kanto Earthquake. Tokyo, which suffered devastating damage, has recovered and developed to such an extent that today there is no place where one can catch a glimpse of the damage. At the time, tens of thousands of evacuees, many of whom were victims of the disaster, were at the site of the clothing factory (now Yokoamicho Park), while about 10,000 people evacuated and most of them were saved at Fukagawa Fellowship Garden (now Kiyosumi Garden). In order to examine the damage caused by the earthquake and reaffirm the importance of green space in times of disaster, we will walk from Yokoamicho Park to Kiyosumi Garden and consider the ideal disaster-prevention park.

<The event will be held in the park from Yokoamicho Park to Kiyosumi Teien.
The lecture may be cancelled in the event that the lecturer is unable to conduct the lecture due to circumstances beyond his/her control, such as natural disasters.
