FY2024 Tokyo/Chiyoda Ward Joint Training for Stranded Returnees

Tokyo Metropolitan Government will hold a joint drill with Chiyoda Ward as detailed below, with Tokyo Station as the center for training on measures to deal with stranded commuters. This drill will be conducted in cooperation with railway operators and other businesses around Tokyo Station.

Training objectives

Assuming that a large number of people are stranded around Tokyo Station due to an earthquake directly beneath the capital, the purpose of the training is to work together with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, wards, and disaster prevention organizations to prevent confusion and ensure safety around the station.

A capital earthquake (M7.3) occurs with its epicenter in the southern part of the city center
