The Bureau of Construction has established the “Committee for Reviewing Storm Surge Countermeasures Development Policies for Rivers,” consisting of academic experts, to consider the optimal construction content and timing for each river in terms of storm surge countermeasures for low-lying rivers, taking into account the impacts of future climate change. In compiling the “Strategic Policies for Reviewing Storm Surge Countermeasures Development Policies for Rivers (tentative name),” we are now inviting the opinions of Tokyo residents as detailed below.
