Umi no Mori Park will have its grand opening on Friday, March 28th

Infectious disease town planning

On an island surrounded by the sea in the 23 wards, Umi no Mori Park, which is rich in nature and offers a vast view, will have its grand opening on Friday, March 28, 2025.
This park has been developed as a project to revive the waste landfill site of Tokyo Port into a beautiful forest, based on the concepts of “resource circulation” and “collaboration with Tokyo residents.” In addition to using branches and leaves from parks and street trees in Tokyo to create soil, elementary school students and volunteers grew the seedlings needed for the forest from acorns, and approximately 240,000 trees were planted in collaboration with 23,000 Tokyo residents, many companies, and NPOs. The seedlings were carefully raised by volunteers and others, and now form a beautiful forest.
Please look forward to the grand opening of Umi no Mori Park.
