Applications are now open for the 2025 Tokyo Disaster Prevention Learning Seminar!

Earthquake

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will hold the Tokyo Disaster Prevention Learning Seminar as detailed below, in which disaster prevention experts will be dispatched to neighborhood associations, residents’ associations, condominium management associations, etc., in order to further promote “self-help” efforts in which each individual protects themselves and “mutual help” efforts in which neighbors help each other in local communities in preparation for major disasters.
We would like to inform you that we will begin accepting applications from organizations interested in hosting the seminar from April 7th.

1 Course outline

M2 Apartment disaster prevention measures for everyone
A Preparing for an earthquake directly beneath the capital
B Regional preparations for a capital earthquake
C Preparations for areas densely populated with wooden houses
D Local initiatives to support people with special needs
E Learning from recent disasters
F Preparing for wind and flood disasters: Create your own Tokyo timeline! 90 minutes
G Regional disaster prevention consulting (neighborhood associations, neighborhood associations, apartment buildings)* Maximum 240 minutes per dispatch

*In the G course, we will decide on a theme after listening to the issues and concerns of the organization, and dispatch disaster prevention experts up to two times to provide consulting that will directly lead to a solution.
