Establishment of a pre-registration system for those wishing to be dispatched to disaster-stricken areas (technical personnel)
Following large-scale disasters such as the Great East Japan Earthquake and the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has supported local reconstruction efforts by recruiting, hiring and dispatching technical staff, in addition to full-time employees, through its fixed-term employee system, in light of the needs of affected areas.
We are now announcing that we have established a system for pre-registering people who wish to apply, in order to further facilitate the hiring of fixed-term employees in the event of a disaster and to respond more quickly to requests for support from affected areas.
1.Eligible applicants
Those with 5 years or more of practical experience in technical work such as civil engineering or architecture (5 occupations: civil engineering, architecture, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, forestry)
2.Target business
Design and cost estimation, construction management, inspection work, etc. for disaster restoration work of public facilities in disaster-stricken areas
3.How to register
Enter your name, date of birth, desired job type, etc. in the application form posted on the website of the General Affairs Bureau’s Reconstruction Support Measures Division.
*Please see the website for registration requirements.

4.Use of registered information
When the Tokyo Metropolitan Government begins recruiting for fixed-term staff to be dispatched to disaster-stricken areas, it will send recruitment guidelines and other information by email to those who have registered in advance.
*Please note that registration in this program does not guarantee employment.
