Earthquake resistance status of buildings along designated emergency transport roads

Earthquake

In the event of an earthquake, it is essential to make roadside buildings along major roads earthquake-resistant in order to create disaster-resilient cities. These roads serve as major arteries for emergency and life-saving activities and the transportation of emergency relief supplies.
Therefore, in order to promote measures related to earthquake resistance, in accordance with the Ordinance to Promote Earthquake Resistance of Buildings Along Emergency Transportation Roads in Tokyo (hereinafter referred to as the “Ordinance”), we will publish the earthquake resistance status of buildings along specified emergency transportation roads (as of the end of June 2025) as follows.
As of the end of June 2020, the seismic resistance status of buildings along designated emergency transportation roads has been published using indicators such as section reach rates that can accurately represent the traffic function of designated emergency transportation roads.

1 Section reachability rate (probability of reaching a certain section from the entrance to the prefectural border)

2 Overall achievement rate (average of section achievement rates)

Overall achievement rate = 94.0%
