Familiarization training conducted at the disaster prevention wharf

Disaster prevention wharves are bases for effectively transporting emergency supplies, medical supplies, personnel, and other items by water in the event of a disaster.
With the aim of smoothly utilizing disaster prevention wharves in the event of a disaster, we will conduct drills for docking and undocking at disaster prevention wharves and for transmitting information to raise the familiarity of those involved in the water transportation industry and to confirm the communication systems of related organizations.
1 Training content
In the event of a disaster, we will conduct training on docking and undocking at disaster prevention wharves, which will serve as bases for the water transport of emergency supplies, medical supplies, personnel, etc.
In addition to the docking and undocking training, information transmission training will be conducted by related agencies in the event of a disaster.
The training route is as shown in Appendix 1 (PDF: 1,070KB) and Appendix 2 (PDF: 1,453KB).

2 Participating training institutions
Those involved in river navigation who belong to organizations that have concluded disaster transportation agreements with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and related bureaus within the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (General Affairs Bureau and Port and Harbor Bureau)
3 Training date
The training will be conducted on multiple days between late October 2025 and the end of January 2026 (the dates of the training will be coordinated with the shipping industry).
