Earthquake

We would like to inform you that the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has approved the establishment of the Haramachi 1-3 District Disaster Prevention Block Development Association as follows, pursuant to Article 136, Paragraph 1 of the Act on Promotion of Disaster Prevention Block Development in Densely Populated Urban Areas.

1 Project effects

(1)Eliminating overcrowding by sharing buildings

The fragmented land and small remaining lots resulting from the construction of Auxiliary Route 46 will be consolidated through joint ownership, and fireproof buildings will be constructed to ensure rational and healthy use of the land.

(2)Improving disaster prevention functions by securing open space, etc.

We will improve the disaster prevention capabilities of the area by updating the densely packed old wooden houses and other structures to fire-resistant buildings to make them fireproof and earthquake-resistant, building a disaster prevention warehouse for the neighborhood association, and expanding and improving the walkway in Nishikoyama Park to ensure an evacuation route to Auxiliary Route 46.

(3)Improving the living environment
