Call for opinions on “Interim summary for the revision of the ‘Grand Design for Urban Development'”
In fiscal 2017, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government formulated the Grand Design for Urban Development, which outlines the vision for Tokyo as a city in the 2040s and the basic policies for urban development to achieve this vision, and has since been promoting strategic urban development.
Eight years have passed since the plan was formulated, and in light of the major changes in the socio-economic situation surrounding Tokyo, we are currently considering revising the Grand Design for Urban Development to respond to these changes of the times.
After holding discussions with experts, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has compiled its basic thinking for the revision in the form of an “Interim Summary for the Revision of the Grand Design for Urban Development.” We are now inviting your opinions on this as detailed below.
