June is Flood Prevention Awareness Month! Make sure you’re fully prepared for flooding!
Period: Monday, June 1, 2026 – Tuesday, June 30, 2026

The Sewerage Bureau has designated June—before the rainy season begins—as “Flood Prevention Awareness Month.” During this month, we conduct inspections to ensure that sewer facilities are functioning properly and carry out public awareness campaigns to encourage residents to prepare for flooding. In addition, to help you better understand the role of the sewer system in creating a safe community, we are organizing tours of sewer facilities that are not normally open to the public. We hope you will join us.

- (2) Staff members are making door-to-door visits to semi-basement homes to encourage residents to take their own precautions against flooding, such as installing drainage pumps.
