Tokyo Metropolitan Government Revises Earthquake-Resistant Renovation Promotion Plan
We will further promote earthquake-resistant construction of buildings and houses along emergency transport routes.
Based on the Act on Promotion of Seismic Retrofitting of Buildings, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has formulated the Tokyo Metropolitan Seismic Retrofitting Promotion Plan with the aim of systematically and comprehensively promoting the seismic retrofitting of buildings, and is promoting the seismic retrofitting of buildings.
As the planning period (FY2016-FY2025) has now expired, we have reviewed the targets and measures for seismic reinforcement of buildings and residences along emergency transport routes, and have revised the plan based on the opinions of the “Tokyo Metropolitan Government Seismic Retrofitting Promotion Plan Review Committee,” which consists of external experts.

The “Tokyo Metropolitan Government Earthquake-Resistant Renovation Promotion Plan (Revised March 2026)” will be posted on the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Earthquake-Resistant Portal Site.


This project is an initiative to promote the “Tokyo 2050 Strategy.”
