A naming contest was held for the “earthquake-sensitive circuit breaker”.

Earthquake

In Tokyo, we are supporting the installation of earthquake-sensitive circuit breakers [Note] in each household to prevent electrical fires during earthquakes. To raise awareness of earthquake-sensitive circuit breakers among a wider audience and encourage their installation, we have decided to select an easy-to-understand name.
The name will be decided by vote from three options selected based on ideas from Tokyo Metropolitan Government employees working on disaster prevention, taking into account expert opinions. Please participate in the selection process to choose a name that will help more people learn about earthquake-sensitive circuit breakers!

[Note] Earthquake-sensitive circuit breaker: Detects tremors of magnitude 5 or higher and cuts off electricity to the building, protecting Tokyo residents from fires caused by electricity.
