Waterways That Connect, Smiles That Spread: Tokyo’s Rivers

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is organizing various events [Note] related to river conservation in order to foster a sense of familiarity and affection for Tokyo’s rivers. We are pleased to announce that we will be holding a “River Panel Exhibition,” and we hope you will come and visit.

With the aim of promoting the conservation and restoration of healthy river environments and fostering awareness of river conservation, July has been designated as River Conservation Month each year, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and other local governments organize various events.

2. Main Exhibits
An Introduction to the River Projects Undertaken by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government
The exhibition features panels and models showcasing the development status of lowland rivers (such as the Sumida River) and small-to-medium-sized rivers (such as the Kanda River), measures to prevent sediment-related disasters, and walking maps along the rivers.
