To help elementary school students in Tokyo gain a proper understanding of the importance of preventing infectious diseases, we are calling for poster submissions on the theme of infectious disease prevention.

1. Call for Submissions: Theme

“Infectious Disease Prevention You Can Do Yourself”

Artwork on “Infectious Disease Prevention” created in collaboration with parents or other adults close to the student, based on their own experiences and actions

• Measures to Prevent the Spread of Infectious Diseases

*Tokyo iCDC has created a handbook summarizing everyday infection prevention and control measures, as well as videos on infection control for households. Please use these as a reference when creating your artwork.

2. Eligibility Requirements

Lower Grade Division

Students in grades 1 through 3 at elementary schools and the elementary divisions of special education schools who live or attend school in Tokyo

Upper Grade Division

Fourth through sixth graders attending elementary schools or the elementary divisions of special education schools who live or attend school in Tokyo

*Entries from grade levels other than those listed above are not eligible for judging.

3. Work Specifications and Art Supplies

Please use a sheet of drawing paper in the “yotsugiri” size (approximately 39 centimeters × 54 centimeters) oriented vertically. You may use any coloring methods or art supplies you like.
*Entries submitted with the paper oriented horizontally will not be considered for judging.

6. Selection Process

For each category, one Best Work and up to five Outstanding Works will be selected. An awards ceremony is scheduled to take place during the iCDC Forum, which is planned for late January of Reiwa 9.

7. Utilizing the Work

The winning entries will be displayed on panels at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and used in other ways to promote public awareness and education regarding infectious disease prevention.
